Black Creek Pioneer Village

Let's see if this works... I've tried posting this message for 2 days now but every time i do the pictures that i post only show half of the pic, very irritating.

Andrew, Sue, Ethan and i went to Black Creek Pioneer Village Sunday for some spooky halloween fun. They made pumpkin faces on pumpkins, saw a man perform a fire act, got their pictures taken with a ghost, went threw a haunted maze and much more.. I didn't take many pictures tho :( Ohhh and i got to hold a albino Burmese Python, it was HUGE, over 100lbs and supposedly on of the largest snakes in the world, what an awesome feeling that was (having never held a snake before).

Here is the snake i bravely held, mind you, since it was so heavy and all, it took 5 adults to hold it... This picture does NOT show it's actual size at all... A fact that i did not know, snakes have a ribcage, i very long one...

We Have Snow and other doings

Well today we got some snow,,, yayyy... Today is the first official day of snow this season... Andrew got really excited to see it falling but that was short lived when i told him he wouldn't be able to play in it quite yet!
I'm also going to post a few more random pics that i took this week. Ohhh we found a bigger tank for Andrew's gold fish the other day down in the recycling room, just what we need too because Stanley is getting way too big for his current home. The bonus bonus is that everything, lighting, rocks and decor was also in the tank and the tank is only one yrs old... We think it's about 15 gallons....

Here's a picture i took out of my bedroom window of the snow falling but you can't see it, bummer, at least your able to see the beautiful fall colors though!

Riverdale Farm with Grandpa and Nannie

Yesterday Andrew and I went to Riverdale Farm with his grandparents. The farm is unique in that it's situated in the middle of Toronto. Lots of beautiful nature abounds and cute farm animals. We had a great time. Even tho i got bite by some strange plant on my thumb OUCH, nature sure does have a bite... After that Nannie and Grandpa bought him a pumpkin. Andrew really enjoys being with his Grandparents.

After seeing how friendly this goat was i fell in love and now i want one - lol

From the Mouth of Babes

Andrew came into the office a couple of hrs ago and sat beside me and said this to me, word for word. I actually had to ask him to repeat it again so that i could remember what he was said and write it down... This is what he said to me...

him: Mom?

me: Yes Andrew

him: You have to find the good side to your problem. You can't see it, you have to find it.

me: whoooa... what?

him: I come from a different world. I'm just using here for a day. But i like your TV shows. I came here just for you to love me and take care of me (for a day).....

me: :o jaw dropped.

Andrew's Favorite Things

I thought it would be a great idea to ask Andrew what his favorite things are once or twice a year and see how they change over the yrs, if at all. Here's a list of questions i asked him, if you can think of any other nifty questions to ask him let me know and i'll add it to the list. Thanks.

Andrew's favorite things at 4.4 yrs old.

. What is his fav color? Red and Pink
. What is his fav thing to play with? Cars, books and his computer. (but in actuality he likes to play pretend that he's a monster the most)
. What is his fav T.V show? Scooby Doo (he could watch that all day long, over and over if we let him)
. What is his fav movie? he says the robot one, but i don't know what he's talking about.
. What is his fav treat? Gummie Bears
. Who is his best friends? Ethan and Anika
. Who is his fav pet? Tabatha
. What is his fav food? He said green eggs and ham. But i'll add that he LOVES chicken breast fried in olive oil and rosemary seasoning and salt with Alfredo noodles and sauce. For breakfast he likes "Telly toast" which is only peanut butter toast.
. What food does he hate the most? He said anything spicy. But i'll add to that as well, he HATE any form of vegetables.
. He says he likes winter more then summer.
. What is his fav thing to smell? chicken noodle soup
. What scares him the most? Bad people
. What does he love the most? Mommy and Daddy :)
. What do you want to be for Halloween? A ghost
. What do you want for Christmas? A Nerf gun and a bouncy toy with a switch attached to it so that it can jump around everywhere we go.
. What do you want to be when you grow up? A Robot maker.

Andrew went to the Docs Today

And in less then 3 mths he has gained 3lbs, bringing him up to 35lbs total. Way to go Andrew! Yayyyyy..
Were still waiting to hear back from the surgeon as to when he will be seen for the lump on his abdomen.
After the Dr's we went to the toy store and then he picked out a sm pumpkin and brought it home to decorate. Pics will follow :)

Went to the Science Center

We went to the science center again today. Thank goodness for the membership, Andrew LOVES it there. And well, so does my other boy Don ;) ... We met up with Andrew's friend Anika and her mom Christine.
It was REALLY hot out today, 35 with the humidity.. SO the walking there part of the trip kind of sucked. Oh well, suck it up, it won't last too much longer.

Lesson 101 - Never Get Mad at Daddy in Front of Your Kids

Lisa's Visited

On Sunday Lisa visited us for Don's birthday. Don, Lisa, Andrew and i went down to collage st to pick up computer pieces that Don and her needed, she bought some stuff for don for his birthday. After that we went to the best pizza joint ever. Then we headed to Kinsington Market. Then back on to home. I didn't get any pictures of the day, so Lisa wasn't in any of them, bummer.
