Another Ultrasound Update

Just updating about his ultrasound because i know there are some people coming here and are wondering what the heck is going on with that.
We received a call from the Dr's office last Monday, they said that the Dr wants us to come in to discuss the results, now in Canada anyways that's usually not a good thing, we go on the principle that "no news is good news". I called to make an appointment to see him but the soonest they could get us in wasn't until this Wed, how the heck can anyone one wait for more then a week is beyond me so Don, Andrew and i went into the walk-in clinic (where his Dr practices) and got the on call Dr to read the report to us. He said that it's not a hernia and it is a swollen lymph node, he said it's a very rare spot to have one but not unheard of. He said that he wasn't too worried about it since he's had it for a long time but that if we would like to get a whole white and red blood count that wouldn't hurt to do, also to maybe see a pediatrician surgeon. So we got his blood drawn, Andrew cried but other then that he was really good about it, as good as a 3 yr old can be. So now we have to wait until this Thurs to hear what the results of that is and what to do next. I will update when i know more! Here's a picture of the lump, i made it black and white because it's easier to see it that way!

Siblings Together

I was able to get some pictures of the 2 urchins together, not a common occurrence now a days. They are sooo goofy together, it's really hard getting a serious pose with them 2 together, but i guess it says something of their personalities :) It would be nice if i had a picture of him with all of his siblings! Hopefully someday soon!

First Baloney Sandwich

Now this is worthy of a post!

Easter

Easter has come and gone. We stayed the weekend in Kitchener. Saturday we had a surprise birthday dinner at the Mandarin's for Andrew's Grandpa's 70'th birthday. Sunday Andrew awoke at Aunt Judy's place and the bunny made his way there. It was cute, Andrew couldn't care a less about his Easter basket goodies, he was much more interested in finding the eggs. Later on we had a good dinner of turkey and trimming's. We met Christina's new boyfriend Mike (nice guy). Grandpa came over, later on Stacey, Tara, Natyya and Austin popped my for a visit as well. It was a good day!

All this Sickness

Andrew woke up Monday sick, sore throat, on and off fever, and coughing, at points he sounded like a dog barking. Tues he still had the cough. I woke up with a sore throat and total body aches :( , so that left me on the couch all day. Today Andrew still has a cough but other then that he's much better. I on the other hand still feel like crap, but i was still able to manage to get 4 loads of laundry done, wash kitchen floor, that's it for today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Tammy and Natyya are sleeping over Fri night so we best be fit by then! I just don't get it why people insist on bringing their kids out when they know they are sick, i saw many sick kids last week on our many adventures and i knew he would catch something. Grrrrr.

First Time on Skates

Woodbine Center

Last Wed Andrew and his friend Ethan went to the Woodbine Center (it's a mall with an indoor mini fair with rides)... Here's some pics!

Ultrasound Update

Andrew did wonderful for his ultrasound, he laid one the bed and let the guy do his thing and voiced his opinion that he didn't want to be doing this but all and all he was great, considering he had to lye there for about 30 mins. I asked the technician if he thought it was a hernia and he said it looks more like a node, that's kind of got be freaked out a bit. We'll find out later in the week what it is..

Utrasound

I I recieved a call today from Andrew's Dr., he has an appointment next Fri at Sick Children's Hospital to get an Ultrasound done on the lump in his abdomen, we've been told from birth by several Dr's that it's just a hernia and not to worry about it unless it gets sore. This new Dr we have felt it and said he wasn't too sure that it's a hernia and to get it checked out just to make sure... I hate this, it stresses the hell out of me especially because of Barb, any little bump on anyone i know and care for is really going to stress me out now, especially one of my own children... PLEASE let it not be anything but a hernia! He's not going to take it too well either, he HATES going into the Dr's for anything, i don't know how he's going to deal with this... Lets hold our breath and cross our fingers that everything is ok and that he is not too traumatised by it all... I'll post back on how he did!

Frosty the Snowman

Andrew, daddy and i went out yesterday and made the perfect little snowman, we all really enjoyed ourselves.. I asked Andrew what he was going to name him and he gave me that matter of factly look of his and said Frosty the Snowman, lol, original :) ... SO we went out today and took a picture if him. Btw, were in the middle of another snowstorm tonight, were expected to get up to 30 more cm, it's been one of the most snowy winters we've had in a long time... Andrew's having a blast in it tho, he LOVE snow, climbing the snow mountains, making snowmen and snow angels...

Across the Universe

Ok this blog is not just going to be about Andrew, but mostly :)
I just watched a movie tonight called Across the Universe, it's a gooder. I really like it. Soo no spoilers from me (just in case someone read this and hasn't seen it)... Andrew first started watching it with me on the couch but fell asleep next to me, sooo i guess you could say that he was half there ;)

Bees Wax

Do not put bee's wax in your or your offsprings hair. Don thought it would be fun to put some in Andrew's hair last night (sat), after about 8 washes with shampoo, bar soap, dish soap and baking soda the stuff is still in there. I googled a salutions and the only thing that really works is Goo Gone http://www.magicamerican.com/products_gg.aspx ), but crap man, that stuff is poison, there's NO way i'm going to put that in his hair. So it looks like my dear son will be looking like a greaser for the next week at least and the most washed hair kid around

Flapjacks

Andrew had his first flapjack (pancake) tonight. He was watching Little Bear today and they were making them and that's all he would talk about, incessantly, mommy/daddy can we make flapjacks? all.day.long, so we all walked to the store to buy the ingredients. Got home, made them, served and guess what? He didn't want another bite.... So it goes, the life of Andrew.. The MOST fussiest eater i've ever met! (please don't mind the mess in the background, we just got back from shopping and still haven't put everything away)

Here We Go

I am going to try and attempt to do one of these blog things... Hopefully i won't fail, having A.D.D (http://borntoexplore.org/whatisadd.htm )makes it a challenge with keeping up with things that you start (and know, this isn't an excuse). But hopefully i will be able to keep up for Andrew's sake :)

First of all here is Andrew now ... He's almost 4 now, and full of NRG, max... Humorous.. Mouthy at times... Nocturnal.. Stubborn.... Smart.. Witty.. and has a bit of sarcasim in him :) .... But most of all he's one big flipping joy in our lives... He amuses us everyday. He's soo loving.
