Life is Great

What could be any better then having your child rest on your lap and looking up at you with those beautiful big eyes?

First Snow of the Year

Yesterday we got our first snow of the year here in Toronto. Andrew was so excited...

He thought that he could make his own sled... (note to self, it's time to get him one, what a great Christmas gift idea :) )

Notice there are know mitts on him? He HATES them.

His first snow angel of the year

Where there's snow, there must be a snowman.. (his first snowman of the yr)

Santa Claus Parade

Yesterday we went to the Santa Claus Parade making this Andrew's first parade that he's been to. We met up with his friend Anika and Christine. Besides it being really cold they had a great time. I will post some of his favorite floats...

-My little Rudolph-

He really wanted one of these cars.

Andrew LOVES snowmen.

He became pretty excited when he saw Cliffard the Big Red Dog

The Salvation Army Marching Band, Andrew's daddy belonged in that when he was younger. That's also the church he belongs too as well as his Grandpa and Nannie S.

This picture has a funny little story to go with it.. All the kids are to write a letter to Santa and at the parade postal workers collect the envelops and mail them to Santa. Andrew saw the mailbox and started after him to put his letter in it, ignoring the mailmen all together, i wish i could have gotten it on video it was the cutest thing, here all the kids were handing theirs off to the postal workers and he was running off to make sure it got into the actual box...

Remembrance Day

Hopefully someday war will be something of the past. Hopefully someday know man or woman will die from the hands of an enemy. I hope that day will be in our time, or my kids time. This day brings sadness and anger to my heart. I wish know body had to die or fight, past and present. I won't ever forget, and i will teach Andrew to know his history so that it doesn't have to be repeated. I want him to remember. I want him to love and learn that it's ok to have our differences and to except them know matter what. Hate and conflict is not the way to resolve them.

Although Andrew is still quite young to comprehend what this day means, i was able to explain a wee bit about it to him. He colored a poppy (i colored the words), and he colored and glued together an angel in remembrance. Too many lives have been taken away so young, let it stop.

Trains, trains, trains

We had the pleasure of being able to watch Ethan Saturday evening while his parents went to a wedding and the boys had a BLAST being train operators... They never seem to tire from trains!

It's Nov Already

Boy time is flying fast. Andrew's now 4.5 yrs old, and growing fast. He went to Sick Kids Hospital yesterday to see a surgeon about the lump on his tummy. She thinks it is benign and doesn't want to put him through surgery unless 100% needed, they will be keeping an eye on it tho. Thank God.
Because the weather has been so nice here we have been getting lots of outdoor time before Mr Oldman frost visits.

Here's some pictures taken from the past week!

Him and Ethan playing at the park.

We all watched this,,, if Obama is in office for the usual 2 terms Andrew will be 12.5 yrs old by the time he's out of office.

Somewhere downtown on our way home from the hospital. I LOVE this photo.

When your tired your tired, he could pass out anywhere. This was in Future Shop.
