Splash Pad, Science Center and the Forest

It's been a pretty busy week here on the home front. I have been trying to do more things with Andrew because of the crappy weather we have been getting this summer and summer approaching near the end. I know once the colder weather sets in, he will be stuck indoors most of the time. So better enjoy what little we have left outdoors.

Monday, we didn't do a whole lot, went outside for some sunshine and a walk but that's about it.

Tuesday we went to a splash pad for the day with his friends Ethan and Sheridan and their moms. We were suppose to go to Ontario Place but it was going to rain so we decided to stay close. But were going to go tomorrow for the afternoon.

Yesterday I took him to the science center, we saw the snake and lizard exhibit, he liked that. Then we went out in the back of the building and went on a nature walk.

Here are some pictures from the past week.

He is playing a water organ here. The sound of this big is so amazing

And one last one. After the science center we went to the park. It was a good day.

Kitchener Trip

Well we went to Kitchener last week, once a year my sister Lynn and family come to visit us from Florida. Every year i try to stay in Kitchener for a least a week. Not this time though. Sickness over ruled and we had to come home early :( . But a least i got some time to visit with them. My dad and Lynn picked Andrew and i up on Friday late afternoon. Friday night my sister Judy watched Andrew and Shaylyn (my 7 yr old niece from Florida) so that Lynn, Bill (Lynn's husband), Christina, my niece Stacey, my cousin Sheila and her mom Darlene could go out dancing for a bit. It was a fun night, lots of ppl and very loud music. But i must say i didn't care too much for the music, it was old 80's (duran duran, etc) i didn't like it then nor do i now. After that we went to Stacey's boyfriend Steve mom's house so that Lynn and Bill could meet him. Then back to Judy's for the night. The weather was really crappy, cold and mostly rainy. I don't think were going to ever see summer this year. Saturday we just sat around at Judy's, stayed the night there. Sunday Lynn and I and the 2 kids went to my dads to sleep. Monday we both made a roast dinner for dad. Took the kids to the park, Victoria Park, it used to be my fav park as a kid, and it still is. Monday i woke up with a really sore throat, i thought or should i say, i was hoping it was from all the yelling i had to do in order to talk at the bar over the loud music. But nah i couldn't be so lucky. By Tues night it was really bad, fever, chills, body aches, a full blown virus of some sorts. Probably walked through someones sneeze at the bar or something like that, no one else in my family was or had been recently sick so that's likely the place i got it from. Wednesday i couldn't take it anymore so i asked my dad to take me home. Regrettably my battery died on my camera when we went to the big house for a BBQ at my sister Tammy's house, so i didn't get any pictures of her and her family... And i only got to see Christina on Friday night at the bar, so no pics of her either.
Today i am fine, but now poor little Andrew has it. He's had it for 3 days now so hopefully by tomorrow he will be feeling better.

I did manage to get some pictures tho, so that makes me happy. Oh and i forgot to mention, Shaylyn and Andrew were together non-stop from Fri to Wed and they didn't get into one argument, they love each other so much.

My Niece Melissa was playing with bubble so that Andrew and Shaylyn could pop them, i got some really nice pictures of her in action.

A Visit with Grandparents

I haven't been keeping up with this blog lately but I want to add photo of Andrew with his Grandparents from a recent visit they made here. Andrew loves them so much and REALLY enjoys their visits, and LOVES his Nannie's homemade chocolate cookies, they are a classic around here. All the kids love her cookies.

Andrew had lots of play time at the playground this weekend and his first sleep over. His friend Anika wanted to spend the night, she is 5 yrs old too and they had LOTS of fun. And has also found a another friend Sheridan, she's a sweet heart, they get along great and are so sweet with one another.

Canada Day

Andrew being blown away by the helicopter

Me waiting in line, (i'm only posting this one to prove that i was actually there)

Andrew driving his first car, omg he was so good at it too! (better then his dad - lol.. Sorry Don, but ya know it's true)

Here we are sitting in this room waiting to see a 3D moving theater about dinosaurs. This room had funky moving lights that made it look like you were in a colorful ocean. I would love to mimic it in our own livingroom/bedroom.

Andrew running away from the furious raptor.

So i came to his rescue and tried to pin him down and he almost bit my hand off, it was so terrifying.

But then i pleading with him and begged him not to harm us, and all he really wanted was for us to give him a chance, she just needed a friend. So we kissed and made up.

And he and Andrew became the best of buddies for the remainder of the day.

And this is what Canada seems to be all about, (well mostly)...

Most people from around the globe think this is our actual homes!

This was a HUGE maze of funnnnnn. They had tubes, ladders, hoops, loops, slides you name it. This is Andrew going through one of the tubes way up high, at the end of it he came down in a long tunneled slide.

A boat dressed up for the occasion.

Don't they look like they are both in the same pose mirrored?

This is why it's sometimes better to take transit! (what it looked like leaving the grounds)

Rest In Peace Tabatha

Today i had to put one of my best friends to sleep. I will always miss her. I have had her in my life for over 20 yrs. I can't believe she's actually gone. She died in my arms today at 5:25 pm, she is not in pain anymore. I love you Tabatha. Forever.

This is her and i together last night.

A Picture Post

I don't know why, but lately i'm not too much into blogging. With summer being here and us going out a lot, by the time we get home, blogging is the furthest from my mind. After all i do need to get other things done around here too. So why not just post pictures and i will explain what each and everyone of them are. Or better yet maybe i will post different entries for every event that i took pictures of! Ya, i think that's what i will do instead... :)
